The St Mark’s Church Choir is a friendly group of volunteers who lead the music during the Sunday worship each week, either at the 10:30am service or, on the 4thSunday of the month, during a Choral Evensong at 6pm.

We sing a variety of music from a wide range of composers, from classic works to more contemporary pieces, with a particular emphasis on unaccompanied harmony singing, using the balanced collection of voices in our membership. On several occasions each year we also lead more extended choral events, with our annual Christmas Carol Service and Palm Sunday Choral Evensong having been in recent years joined by a Summer Concert, sometimes in partnership with other local groups.

We are always looking for new members, of any voice, and would be delighted to see you if you would like to join us! We meet from 5:30pm to 7pm on a Friday evening to rehearse, and the ability to sight-read music is absolutely not needed – just a willingness to get involved and to learn! If you are interested, do please pop along to a rehearsal and have a go! Alternately, please contact the church office or have a word with a member of the choir after a service on a Sunday.
